Feed.Us is a Ruby on Rails CMS

Ruby on Rails CMS grabberIt's our ongoing quest to be the only "platform independent CMS" and have Feed.Us work on all technology stacks.

In this spirit - we've recently added Ruby on Rails to our list of supported platforms.

This means that content hosted on Feed.Us can now feed to any site or application that runs Ruby on Rails.

Also, from one Feed.Us account, you can control websites that are PHP, ASP.NET, ASP, JSP and now Ruby on Rails.  (Soon we'll add Python too.)

Here's how Feed.Us works with Rails:

1. Become a Feed.Us customer (contact @ feed.us)

2. Add content to Feed.Us (via importing, Google Docs or via the Feed.Us site)

3. Download and unzip the Feed.Us Grabber Rails files.  A "ReadMe" file contains instructions on how to use the RoR grabber and details on the Feed.Us code snippets.

4. Create your Rails code snippets on Feed.Us using our HTML code exporter.  (see photo)

5. Copy & paste the code into your file.

UPDATE:

Ok, we've got our first couple Rails sites:

FeedUsonRails.com: here's our traditional demo site but this version is a Ruby on Rails version.  Imports from and RSS feed then feeds that content to a Linode-hosted server.

WineTweets.com: here's a twitter app built on Rails that uses Feed.Us for the content sections (the right column, the about page, the contact page, blog etc)
